How fast can you click? Pick a time, click the green box as fast as you can, and the test counts your clicks and works out your clicks per second (CPS). It saves your best score for each time limit, so you can see yourself improve. There is also a space bar mode for testing keyboard speed.
How to take the CPS test
- Choose a time: 1, 5, 10, 30 or 60 seconds. Five seconds is the standard test.
- Click inside the green box. The timer starts on your first click.
- Keep clicking until the timer hits zero. Your CPS, total clicks and a rating appear straight away.
- Click the box again (or press Reset) to try once more.
What is a good CPS?

Most people score between 6 and 7 CPS with normal clicking. The world records use special techniques and are well over 20 CPS.
How to click faster
- Jitter clicking: tense your forearm so your finger vibrates on the button. Fast, but tiring.
- Butterfly clicking: alternate two fingers on the same button. Many gamers reach 15+ CPS this way.
- Drag clicking: drag a finger across the button so it bounces. Needs a mouse with a suitable surface.
- Rest your wrist, keep a steady rhythm and warm up with a couple of short tests first.
Some games and servers block very high click rates, so check the rules before using these techniques in-game.
